All About the horse bridle
There are many different types of bridles you use depending what discipline you are working on. The dressage bridle, (top far left), is a bridle that has two reins. One of the reins is to simply direct the horse and help the horse out with which way you want to go. The second rein is to keep the horse round in the neck and keeping the horse as good looking as it could get as dressage is a discipline of looking 'clean'. You must wear strict clothing and complete a pattern, as in cantering A to D and have a half pass from D to K. On a arguable term, Dressage is the most difficult discipline.

The western bridle (the picture above) is a much simpler than the other types of bridles. Although western bridles style vary on where you buy it and the company. Some western bridles come with a crow piece like in the picture, and some come with an ear piece, with just the strap around the horses ear to hold the bridle. The western bridle does not have a nose band but has a throat latch and a cheek peice. Reins could be tied at the top 'cowboy style' as some people call it. Western riding is a relaxed sport in most discipline that you use a western saddle.

The cross country bridle (the pictures on the far right and next to it) is just like the English bridle but added with it is a cross piece. That piece is added because cross country is a very dangerous sport and that is to keep the bridle in place. This bridle has, just like the English bridle, a brow band, a crown piece, and a chin strap. Cross country discipline is a sport that consist of strategy, as every other sport, but needs to have fast time. This sport consist various obstacles, as of jumping poles and going uphill to jump over a hill, and is outdoor. Only people who have the courage to ride can ride this disipline and be good at it. English is an all around bridle as you can say. The most popular term is jumping. Jumping is when you go through and obstacle and height jumps according to your level and is usually indoor.
